What you can play with Plei (and what you should not)
Plei is a player, nothing more. It includes no content, does not recommend providers and does not help you find them. This guide explains which sources are legitimate and what we expect from people who use the app.
Plei is only a player
Plei does not host, sell, distribute or recommend any channel, film or list. The app starts empty. What you play is your decision, and you are also the one responsible for having the right to play it.
Legitimate sources, by type
- Your own videos: recordings, home videos or content you produce, served from your computer, your home server or your cloud.
- Free content: public-domain or openly licensed videos, such as open-source films or Creative Commons material.
- Services you legally subscribe to that allow an external player with your own list or link.
- Internal broadcasts from your company, school or venue (training, events, cameras) that you are authorized to use.
- Test streams for video engineers and developers.
What you should not do
Do not use Plei to access protected content without authorization, or unofficial services that resell it without a license. Piracy harms creators and the people who work in the industry and can have legal consequences for you. If someone offers you thousands of channels for a ridiculous price, be suspicious.
How to check a source
- Is there an identifiable company behind it, with terms, a contract and invoices?
- Is the content it offers something you know is licensed for that use?
- Does it promise “everything included” for very little money? That is a warning sign.
If in doubt, do not add it.
Your responsibility and ours
You are responsible for the lists and media you import and play. AIDO Apps does not host or distribute audiovisual content, is not affiliated with any provider and cannot help you find lists. All the detail is in the content notice.
Copyright notices
If you believe Plei is being used to infringe copyright, or you want to tell us about any problem, write to aidoapps@deoleza.com with your name, the right concerned and the details needed to locate the matter. We review it as a priority.
