Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who we are

Plei is an iOS application developed and published by AIDO Apps, based in Spain. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the app, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

Data controller: AIDO Apps
Contact email: aidoapps@deoleza.com

2. One-sentence summary

We have no servers of our own. Your playlists, URLs, and favorites live only on your device. The only third parties that process any information are Apple and RevenueCat, solely to handle your Premium purchase (section 4). We show no ads and collect no usage analytics.

3. Nature of the app

Plei is a media player. We do not host, provide, or control the content you play. Content comes from M3U/M3U8 playlists or direct stream URLs that you add. The app ships completely empty, with no preloaded content or sources. You are solely responsible for the legality of the sources and content you access (see the Content Disclaimer).

4. Information we process

4.1. Data stored only on your device

The following data is never transmitted to any server of ours (we have none). It is stored locally in the app's private storage on your device:

When you uninstall the app, all of this data is automatically removed with it.

4.2. Data shared with third parties (processors)

Plei integrates the following services. Each has its own privacy policy and operates under its own responsibility as a data processor:

Service Purpose Data processed Location
Apple — App Store / In-App Purchase Process the one-time "Plei Premium" purchase Transaction ID, amount, and currency. The buyer's identity is handled by Apple via your Apple ID; we never see it USA / global (Apple Inc.)
RevenueCat Validate and restore your Premium purchase across devices and reinstalls Anonymous install ID, Apple transaction ID, purchase/restore event USA (RevenueCat, Inc.)
Your streaming sources Serve the stream you request Your request and the URL are sent directly from your device to the server you configured Wherever that server is (not ours)
AirPlay (if you use it) Send video to an Apple TV or compatible smart TV The stream is transmitted over your local network via Apple's native technology. AIDO Apps receives nothing Local network

Additional notes on Premium purchases

The Premium purchase is a one-time payment (not a subscription) processed entirely by Apple. We never see your card number, name, address, or any other billing detail: we only receive from RevenueCat the confirmation that your install is entitled to Premium features. RevenueCat generates an anonymous ID for your install; it is not linked to your real identity or your Apple ID as far as we can see.

4.3. Data we do NOT collect

5. Legal basis for processing

6. Retention and deletion

Local data is kept while the app is installed. You can delete it at any time by:

Data at external providers is retained per their own policies: Apple applies its Privacy Framework retention periods; RevenueCat keeps purchase history while your purchase is active (indefinitely, as it is a lifetime purchase).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights against AIDO Apps, email us at aidoapps@deoleza.com.

If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.

8. Children

Plei is not directed at children under 14 (the minimum age set by Art. 7 LOPDGDD for consenting to the processing of personal data in Spain). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Because the app plays lists the user provides, those may point to content of any nature, including adult content — parents or guardians are responsible for the sources configured on the device and the content their minors may access.

9. International transfers

Apple and RevenueCat (United States) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both adhere to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and apply Standard Contractual Clauses as an additional safeguard.

10. Security

The playlists and URLs you add are stored in iOS's per-app private storage (sandbox), not accessible by other apps. Plei requires no account or password, so we store no credentials for the app itself.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in legislation. The date and version of the latest update appear at the top of the document.
